Digital Intentions
For some
time, new services flourish on the Web: Netvibes,
Wikipedia, Del.icio.us, DabbleDB, OpenRecord,
Writely, 37signals…
These new
services make it possible to be informed, advised,
and educated by the crowd of Web users. In addition,
it is now possible to have its text processing, or
spreadsheet directly accessible from any computer
connected to Internet. One can create a blog, share
his bookmarks, read flows of information, centralize
documents, and collaborate more easily.
But these
new services are very scattered on the Internet. It
is not easy to integrate them and to orchestrate
them in a homogeneous environment.
Imagine a
scenario where everyone can publish services it
offers and subscribes to those it needs.
Imagine a
tool which makes it possible to learn by
experimentation. A tool which makes it possible to
manage intentions and projects and to describe and
program web services easily.
Today, such
a simple tool does not exist…
Web 2.0
wave misses an element : an alphabet which makes it
possible for everyone to create services on Internet
and to automate, control and orchestrate flows
resulting from these services…
Intentware
project is devoted to the design of this alphabet...
